Born and raised in Nashville, TN, I have been a Presbyterian all my life.
After spending two years at Vanderbilt University, I transferred to SMU
to complete a BA in Advertising Management.
My stint in the advertising and marketing world included Account Executive
with Shapiro, Small, and Associates, Dallas Marketing Coordinator with
David Weekley Homes, and Owner of Bradford Ad Group.
Greg and I married in 1990.
I stopped working for ten years to be home with our children
Will (15),
Ali (13),
and Dean (10).
As I began to discern a new vision of my life with my children in school,
I entered the Masters of Architecture program at UTA.
During this time I found the journey to the cathedral to be my true passion.
One might say I learned I should be building spiritual foundations,
not the concrete variety.
This insight led me to accept a short-term staff position at Canyon Creek
Presbyterian Church as the Interim Director of Membership, Mission,
and Evangelism while I worked on my application and acceptance to the Masters
of Divinity program at Perkins School of Theology in January 2006.
During my time at Perkins I received a call-within-a-call to the ministry
of spiritual direction.
Therefore, I am concurrently working on a Degree in the Art of Spiritual
Direction at San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, CA.
I plan to graduate from both programs in May 2011.
In my spare time you will find me playing tennis, walking in the neighborhood,
or seeking quiet time at the lake.
I have a long list of books on my wish list now that I have some time to read
books of my own choosing.
Our "fourth child" is our dog, Reesie.
She is a great traveling companion.
