I was born in Abilene, grew up (mainly) in Arlington, TX, and have been
Presbyterian since the age of 10. I began college at Texas Christian
University as a theatre major but quickly realized I would not make a
good waitress. I then switched to the much more marketable fields of
philosophy and English literature; I graduated with a BA in 2000.
One year later, I headed off to the wilds of New Jersey, where I purchased
a snow shovel and began work on an M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary.
During my time there, I also served a two year internship as the youth
minister at Riverdale Presbyterian Church in the Bronx. That experience,
perhaps more than any other, convinced me of my call to church ministry.
After graduating in May of 2004, I received a call to serve as associate
pastor of St. Barnabas. I was ordained on December 5, 2004, and have been
enjoying my time with the people here ever since. In addition to my work
here at the church, I also serve on Grace Presbytery's Committee on
Preparation for Ministry.
A little bit about me: I am hoping to get a dog by the end of the year,
I have a weakness for shoes, and I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan.
