Interfaith Housing Coalition
Mission:
Interfaith Housing Coalition is a unique ministry which utilizes a holistic
approach to attack the root causes of homelessness. The ministry empowers
the homeless to obtain employment and rebuild their lives and families. It
is an approach that works: two out of three families that complete the
program are able to sustain self-sufficiency.
The program includes six basic elements:
- systematic job search to secure full-time employment
- weekly budgeting, employment, and living/parenting skills classes
- a comprehensive children's program
- in-house counseling for adults and children
- accountability for self-designed objectives and goals
- earned savings to secure permanent housing
Volunteer Opportunities:

- GED tutor
- Rainbow Room co-partner (evening children's classes, child care)
