Wow! Good things are happening at Dobie Primary thanks to you! Your forth quarter check in the amount of $170 plus the two checks in the amount of $50 and $175 allowed us to help provide buses for our first graders to travel to Science Place at Fair Park.

We had three objectives that the children met while attending Science Place. They had to be able to experiment with hands-on models, see and hear why things work the way they do, and work together as a team to figure out how the experiments work.

Please let everyone know that the tithes they share with our children help empower these young boys and girls to become happy, productive citizens in our community. Our children gain expeiences through field trips because of passionate people like you.

In addition, we used $75 of that amount to help two separate families who lost everything in apartment fires. They were so happy to know that their children's field trip expenses were taken care of along with two sets of school uniforms.

I must also give special thanks to the members that assisted in the Christmas "adoption" program. Sixteen Dobie families, consisting of 91 family members, were adopted by 64 family units, of which three were assisted by office groups. Now that's an awesome group of people. Our hearts, our cheers, our applause go to each one of you for your support. Please know that your thoughtfulness and tithes are making a BIG difference for the staff and young children at Dobie Primary.
