Health Fair
St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church, in partnership with Care Van and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, will hold its annual back-to-school Health Fair on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the church, 1220 West Belt Line Road, from 10 AM to 1 PM.Once again, the Fair will provide free immunizations required for children attending the school semester beginning August 27. As in previous years, many other services will also be available, including:
- Applications for Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) with trained volunteers on hand to assist and answer questions.
- Family health tips, blood pressure checks, “Ask the Doctor,” information on dental health, poison control, and nutrition
- Cooking demonstrations by Whole Foods
- Door prizes, children’s activities and bicycle helmets
