If you answered yes to these questions, RALC needs you! There are many non-English speaking adults in the Richardson community waiting for someone to help them learn English. Learning to communicate and understand the culture they have come to live in will enhance their quality of life. By setting aside just a few hours a week, the experience of helping someone overcome the language barrier will enhance your life too.

You don't have to speak a second language yourself to teach someone English. At Richardson Adult Literacy Center, tutor training is provided. You'll be matched with a student based on mutual compatibility and interests.
There are also lots of other ways to help RALC and the students who want to learn English. We need folks who can help develop learning materials, volunteer in the office, speak as a literacy advocate in our community, and of course your tax-free donations help this non-profit organization continue to help adults learn to function better in our community.
